No one but you and your home can see your data — not even us.
Device status, energy data, intercom video, call audio and notifications travel only between your phone and your home. Away, your phone connects straight back to your HomeBox, encrypted end to end; any server along the way handles only ciphertext it cannot read. The app itself collects and uploads nothing.

How do I get Ienoa?
Ienoa is invite-only for now: we share it by private link with households we help set up. Request an invite here.
Can I try it without the equipment?
Yes. On the first screen, tap No devices? Try Demo Mode. Every feature works with sample data, and nothing is connected or controlled.
What does it work with?
Home energy gateways, ECHONET Lite appliances such as air conditioners, supported apartment intercoms, and a camera, TV and printer on the same Wi-Fi. See Compatibility for the full list, how each one connects and what you need.
What is HomeBox, and do I need it?
HomeBox is a small companion program that runs on an always-on computer at home. At home the app works without it; notifications and using the app away from home need it.
Do I need a VPN when I'm out?
No. With HomeBox running, your phone connects back directly over an end-to-end encrypted link. No VPN and no account.
Can you see my data?
No — and neither can anyone else. Your device status, energy data, intercom video, call audio and notifications travel only between your phone and the devices in your home. Apart from you and your home, no one can see them — including us, the developers.
At home the app talks to your devices directly, with no server in between. Away, the link between your phone and your HomeBox is encrypted end to end, and the servers that introduce them or relay notifications only ever handle ciphertext they cannot decrypt. The app itself collects and uploads nothing, and there is no account to tie anything to you.
Which phones and languages?
Ienoa is available for iPhone (iOS 18 or later) now; an Android version is in the works. The app speaks English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese.
How much does it cost?
Ienoa is free.
